"Chenny Chesney"

Jason and I (and lots of friends) were lucky enough to see Kenny Chesney last night at his last concert of the season and until 2011. Emme must have overheard us making plans for the evening, because she pulled my cowboy hat out of the closet and declared, "I'm Chenny Chesney!". The concert did not dissapoint. My favorite part of the show was when the other artists (Miranda Lambert, Surgarland, and The Zac Brown Band) came out and played with Kenny. How will we ever live through next summer without him?

Stephie's Surprise

Last night we (myself, RexAnne and Steph's mom) hosted a surprise 30th Birthday party for her at Buck Creek Winery. She had NO idea. Her actual birthday was at the end of August, so RexAnne and I planned a "belated girl's night out". She bought the story, we made up another story about why we needed to stop at the winery on the way to dinner and SURPRISE! After the initial shock wore off, I think she enjoyed herself. It was a great mix of family and friends, delicious food, great wine and an amazing cake.

M and T

My mom and I were in the Chicago area for the day on Wednesday for my great-uncle's funeral. I couldn't be that close to my favorite twins without making a visit. I haven't seen Max and Tessa since they were two days old and they were four weeks old on Friday! My mom and I got to visit with Sarah and the babies all afternoon. We even took them for a little walk to visit their Daddy's new office. I cannot wait to see them again.
Emme picked out phones for me to take to them, so they can now "text or call" to stay in touch!

Night At The (Barron's on) Roxbury

Friday night the girls and I had a slumber party at "Wibby Barron's" house. Mike, Shannon and Libby are always great hosts and we had a wonderful time. An even extra treat was that Alison and Ethan were in town from Chicago. The girls and Ethan and Mike played while we scoured the lastest Upper Case Living catalogues. Saturday morning we all attended Zionsville's Pumpkin Fest at Lion's Park, complete with a parade and train ride.
Ethan was a hit with all the girls. They kept referring to him as "the baby", even though he is now walking! I didn't get any pictures of the four friends...check Alison or Shannon's blog for those.

Baking with Bella

My mom was gracious enough to keep the girls overnight this past weekend so Jason and I could go to a wedding. Sunday morning they began baking in their pjs and enjoyed the final product in them too...I think they enjoyed themselves!

"SSSupial"

I knew I would love the education Emme was going to receive at Crabapple Creek.
This week she started using the word "sssupial".
She first started using it with my mom, who realized she was trying to say Marsupial. The class was talking about Austrailia this week and must have talked about common animals from the continent. I just love it that my 3 y/o is using a word I had to look up to check my spelling of.

Wedding Weekend

This past weekend we were in Monticello for my cousin Johnny's wedding. He and his fiance Missy asked me to be a bridesmaid, so we were involved in all the wedding festivities. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and FUN reception. We had a great time partying in my home town and I think we left our mark. We're all ready to do it again at the next family wedding...who will be next?
