Cousins
Gammy, I would love to say they said they were coming to see you. I really thought this was how they would respond when I asked,"Where are you going?". But, you lost out to Mickey and Donald...sorry:)
Bathing Beauties
We have loved/lived at the Y pool this summer. Emme is in her 9th week of swim lessons and we also tried to spend at least 2 days a week just relaxing at the pool. The girls have become so much more comfortable with the water and especially love it when our friends Braelin and Grayson, Elijah or Auntie Erin join us to swim. Here are a few shots from the last week of my little fish. We swam today and it is so hard to believe today will be one of our last summer days at the pool before I return to work next week.

Women and Wine
My mom and I hosted a small family bridal shower for my cousin's fiance, Missy, this afternoon. The venue for the shower was the Whyte Horse Winery in Monticello. It was a perfect afternoon of family, good food, great wine and celebration.
Jason, our cousin Mike, and Uncle John joined us after playing a round of golf. They didn't want to miss out on sharing a bottle of wine with us.
There's More Than Corn in Indiana
Saturday afternoon we met some family in Monticello. Our original plans were to be in Monticello all weekend for a surprise 80th birthday party for my Gma. This party had been in the works for 5 months. On Tuesday morning, we found out that my Gma was hospitalized for what we now know was a TIA with seizure activity. She is home and doing well, but obviously the party was postponed. A few cousins, my aunt/uncle, mom and sisters still met in Monticello for a visit and a Bridal Shower for my cousin Johnny's fiance, Missy.
We spent Saturday afternoon at Indiana Beach. The girls had a great time with their cousin Kaitlyn in Kiddyland. We had a great dinner at the Sky Room and Jason even caught a ride on the Steel Hawk with cousin Johnny.
Saturday night we hit the local drive-in and saw the end of G-Force and then the Proposal-very cute movie! This was the girls first trip to a drive-in, they did well and feel asleep in the car a few minutes into the 2nd movie.
It was a great time with family, can't wait to do it again in a few weeks for Johnny and Missy's wedding in Monticello on August 29th.
Friday Fun
Friday afternoon, the girls and I joined the Barron family in Zionsville. Shannon arranged for her Mom's group to tour the Zionsville Fire Station and asked us to join them. The girls have never been inside a Fire Station before so it was a great opportunity for us. They were a little timid around the Firemen and Sparky the Dog, but still had a good time. After the Fire Station tour, we had pizza at Amore and then also hit up Dairy Queen. After we ate our way through Zionsville, Shannon helped me make wine charms (for Missy's Bridal Shower) while Mike supervised the girls swimming in Libby's pool. I must say, Mike looks pretty good with three little girls on his arm! We ended up staying the night since we were heading north to Monticello on Saturday. We had great plans to check out the Farmer's market and parks on Saturday morning, but the weather didn't cooperate. So, Mike again supervised the girls at a nearby indoor playground while Shannon and I made a quick trip to Marshall's for some bargain buys. We had a great time...thanks, Barrons!
Geese Getters
My mom and her friend/neighbor Becky have a geese problem in their condo complex. After not getting anywhere with the complex property mgmt company, they decided to take matters into their own hands. Apparently an ammonia/water mix is supposed to deter geese. So my mom and Becky chased the geese around, squirting them with squirt guns full of this mixture. I promise, seeing it live was priceless!

Zoo Junkies
One of the things I will miss most about summer break are our frequent trips to the zoo. The girls and I love to go a couple times a week. Each time we go, we seem to do something different. Today we met Alicia and Elijah and did pony rides and the Carousel. Delanie preferred the ponies on the Carousel instead of the live version!
