4th of July fun

We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July. Friday night we kept our tradition of spending the evening/night with the Barron Family in Zionsville. They live in a great neighborhood with lots and families, so of course Jason took the opportunity to do some fireworks with the neighborhood kids. We had a great dinner and the girls had a blast playing with Libby. We hope to have many more fun visits like this one.

Saturday morning I ran in the Carmel Freedom Run for the 2nd year in a row with Heather and Ben Kingdon and Stephanie. It is a really nice 4.5 mi run through Carmel. We attended the festival's parade afterwards and the girls had a really good time. Hot Box pizza (aka Pizza Express) was a block away from our parade seats to we couldn't resist sharing a couple Big 10s after the parade. It was the perfect morning-good friends and good food.

Saturday evening we had a neighborhood get together at our house. The rain did not let up, so we had to move the party to our garage. We had more good food, good company, and a small firework show. We are hoping to add this "Celebration in the Cul-de-sac" to our 4th of July traditions. I didn't have my camera for the first part of our weekend, but did get some pics of our garage party.
